A Materials Science Company
We partner with the world’s leading research institutions, laboratories and scientists to bring to life the latest problem-solving innovations in materials science through our products. We pioneer our own breakthrough technology like FLWRDWN™, use bio-based fibers like yarn, as well as materials made from recycled plastic and garment waste.
Our Internal research and development lab is in Italy, supplemented by unique scientific partnership with research labs and institutions in Europe, USA, Japan and Korea. There, we create and develop bespoke materials science innovations.
This fiber is derived from saltwater seaweed which grows abundantly in a
natural ocean habitat. This avoids traditional farming aggressors such as
the use of pesticides, excessive water and land. The fiber created is
lightweight, absorbs moisture faster than cotton and retains some active
algae nutrients. At the end of the garment's life, it biodegrades seamlessly.
Peppermint oil treatment
This natural, plant-originated textile treatment uses peppermint oil as its
main active ingredient and has an antibacterial effect. We use it as a
finishing treatment on our fabric to keep your garment fresher for longer:
your t-shirt needs to be washed less often, saving water, energy and time.
An innovative alternative to goose down. It's taken over 10 years to
develop this cruelty-free, breakthrough material (VeganTech) made
from natural, dried wild flowers and a biopolymer. Keeping you warm ,
without harming the animals.
FLWRDWN™ is a registered PANGAIA patent.
The natural botanical dyes we use are made from food waste
and natural resources. Plants, fruits and vegetables help to achieve
rich hues and beautiful tones. Our supplier also dyes textiles using a
method which uses less water, is non-toxic and biodegradable.
Regular cotton requires more water, pesticides and degrades the soil over
time. Instead, we only use organic cotton, made from natural seeds and without
the need for pesticides or other harmful chemicals. As a result, organic
cotton products are safer for both our skin, and our earth.
Over 1008N items of clothing and 5008N plastic bottles are
produced every year. Half goes to landfill, taking decades to decompose.
Most textile and plastic waste can be recycled, turned into a yarn
and reused repeatedly. We develop products made using postconsumer
recycled materials. It doesn't just look good, but more
importantly, feels good.
We use TIPA packaging for many of our products: a bio-based, plastic
alternative which fully disappears within 24 weeks in your compost bin.
It's designed to offer a breakthrough ecological alternative to avoid the
billion tons of surplus non-recyclable plastic consumed globally.
An innovative leather alternative that incorporates grape waste from the Italian winemaking industry. In addition to creating animal-free leather, the utilization of grape skins, seeds and stems, known as pomace, disrupts the waste stream of the winemaking industry and establishes new utility for the biomass.
Environmentally Friendly Dye
The dyes we use are Oeko-Tex® certified, meaning they are non-toxic
and free from harmful chemicals. We also use a dyeing process with low
water consumption and treatment of textile effluents, aiming to reuse
water during the washing processes. This is a more sustainable method
which reduces the toxic impact on the planet.
