Seaweed fiber racer back tank
The material of the Seaweed Fiber Tank Tops is ribbed, with a soft-hand feel. Seaweed grows freely and abundantly in a natural ocean habitat. We source ours from the sparsely populated Icelandic Fjords, in locations where there is zero waste in the water, and zero pollution from ship traffic. The process removes only the part that is able to regenerate and is harvested every 4 years, allowing for full replenishment in between. The fiber is carbon neutral and 100% biodegradable.
Together with Sea Trees, we aim to store CO2 in the most effective way, provide habitats for threatened species and benefit local communities.

More about our technologiesThis fiber is derived from saltwater seaweed which grows abundantly in a natural ocean habitat. This avoids traditional farming aggressors such as the use of pesticides, excessive water and land. The fiber created is lightweight, absorbs moisture faster than cotton and retains some active algae nutrients. At the end of the garment’s life, it biodegrades seamlessly. We use materials from plants grown without the use of harmful and toxic pesticides. The organic raw cotton we use holds the transaction certificate from the Control Union, meaning that the yarn is processed according to the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS)
