Product Information FAQs

What's the difference between your tracksuit fabrics?

The right fit starts with the right fabric. That’s why our products range in feel and fit to give you that comfortable feeling, whatever the weather. Compare our fabrics and find your perfect fit.

PANGAIA 365, our oh-so-soft essentials designed to be worn across the 4 seasons, 365 days a year.

PANGAIA 365 is an updated version of our classic lightweight material, made using 100% organic cotton. It’s a medium-weight fabric, with a loop-back texture inside and a finishing that provides extra softness. The fit is looser and more relaxed so it's perfect for layering.

365 has a lighter feel, which makes it great for wearing all year-round and when you’re on the go:

365 Signature:

Our classic Heavyweight material has been renamed to 365 Signature. It’s still the same recycled cotton fabric you know, just with a new name.

365 Signature collection is a thicker recycled cotton that’s perfect for days you want a cozier feel. The material is brushed on the inside with a soft, fuzzy, plush hand feel and the fit is more structured so it holds its shape:

What are your Signature (renamed Heavyweight) fabrics?

We offer two types of Heavyweight fabrics:

Our classic Heavyweight material has been renamed to 365 Signature. It’s still the same recycled cotton fabric you know, just with a new name.

365 Signature collection is a thicker recycled cotton that’s perfect for days you want a cozier feel. The material is brushed on the inside with a soft, fuzzy, plush hand feel.

Loopback Heavyweight:

Our High-Neck & Cuffed styles come in our Heavyweight French Terry fabric. The material is a thick and textured heavyweight recycled cotton with a loopback texture on the inside.

Our 365 Signature and Loopback Heavyweight fabrics are both 420gsm (grams per square meter), the only difference is the brushed back/loopback finish that is on the inside.

Where are your products made?

All of our products are currently made in Europe.

Our warehouse is located in the United Kingdom which makes the logistics easier and reduces our carbon footprint as a company. As we source our fabrics, natural dyes and technologies globally due to the scarcity, nature and origin of some of these innovations, it was crucial for us to produce everything in one place.

We choose places like Portugal and Italy for the quality of their factories, labor law compliance, and a range of factories with the latest eco certifications. It was also important for us to partner with factories and people who share our ideas and are ready to incorporate the latest and best eco-innovations, technologies and sustainable processes. They are ready to experiment with us, so this partnership is key.

Is your packaging sustainable and recyclable?

Yes! Our PANGAIA products are packaged in TIPA® packaging or a reusable cotton bag.

TIPA is a part bio-based plastic alternative that fully composts in 24 weeks. The best place to dispose of your packaging is a food waste recycling bin if you have one, or a garden compost bin. Failing that, put it in your regular bin and it will decompose in landfill.

It’s not the final solution, but this is the best practice right now. For further information on our TIPA packaging please click here.

Will you expand your product range in the future?

Yes! This is just the beginning of the journey. We’ve started with the everyday basics as we believe that they are the perfect platform to launch new materials and show true innovation.

We’ll then be adding fashion pieces through capsules and collaborations, and plan to explore other categories further down the line - from jewelry and accessories to furniture!

How do you decide the pricing for your products?

It’s not easy being the first in any field. To pioneer is to go away from the mass and do something different and bespoke. Our prices reflect these costs and we’re aware that they are currently out of reach for some people, however there are real reasons for this.

Each PANGAIA product represents this investment in the future of materials science. We work with the most advanced scientists, researchers and technologists in their areas— from fibers to packaging— and with forward-thinking factories and makers in Europe who treat their people to our exacting ethical standards.

Dyes & the dyeing process

We’re conscious of the problems with textile dyeing and today, there is no magic solution that addresses all of them.

We work with the best natural and synthetic dyes available, and prioritize dyeing techniques that reduce our footprint as much as possible. We’re constantly searching for new solutions and partnering with innovators to scale the next generation of dyes that are kinder to the planet

Organic Cotton

Regular cotton requires more water, pesticides and degrades the soil over time. Instead, we only use organic, made from natural seeds and without pesticides or other harmful chemicals. As a result, organic cotton products are safer for both our skin, and our earth.
