The Collection

All PANGAIA Kids T-shirts are made from 100% organic cotton, whilst the Hoodies and Track Pants are made from the same material as their adult counterparts. Where most other brands use around 10-30% recycled cotton, we use a much higher 45% in our hoodies and track pants, mixed with 55% organic cotton. This is one of the highest grades of recycled cotton currently available on the market. We also choose organic cotton where most companies still use recycled polyester — a critical pollutant due to microplastics.

We also use a dyeing process with low water consumption and treatment of textile effluents, aiming to reuse water during the washing processes. This is a more sustainable and environmentally-friendly process which reduces the toxic impact on effluent generation.

Why choose PANGAIA for your kids?

We use 100% GOTS Certified organic cotton which is chemical-free, and therefore a completely non-irritant fabric. Grown without the use of harmful pesticides and fertilizers, it is suitable for all types of skin, especially those with sensitive skin. We have taken precautions to ensure it is completely safe, free from toxic colours, fragrances, bleaches and other harmful products. So, you can rest assured that what you’re putting on your child is 100% natural. It also feels softer than regular cotton, so it’s great for children’s sensitive skin.

What's the effect of color on childrens behaviour?

Doctors and psychologists explain that color affects emotions and therefore, can have a significant effect on child development. Color can be used to influence children’s mood, as well as to enhance how they learn and absorb information. Warmer colors like orange and yellow bring comfort and happiness. Pink is thought to have a soothing, pacifying effect. Red has been known to increase the heart rate and thus, also increases alertness and appetite. Meanwhile, cooler colors like blue and green tend to have a more calming effect.

Children see color with fresh eyes. They talk of colour as fun, happy, cool and beautiful. They learn to use color to reflect different moods and emotions. Bright colors are often thought to represent energy, happiness, carefree, risk and playful fun. It is also thought that children who are more comfortable in their clothes will tend to be more social and will get more involved in playtime and diverse experiences. That’s why, at PANGAIA, we believe that everyone should feel happy and comfortable in the clothes they live in, especially our children — they are the future of our planet!
